New shohin mugo pines

Dwarf mugo pines. Exactly 7 years from cuttings. The needle length on these little conifers averages about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch long. Trunk thickness is roughly the same. Height is 4 inches for the smallest and up to 6 inches for the larger ones. They will go into small ceramic pots soon where they will grow, very slowly, into fat little sumo wrestlers...

Coastal Hemlock-Tsuga Heterophylla

Coast Hemlock clump on a basalt dish. From collected seedlings. Approximate age is 15 years. It was planted on this stone only 6 months ago, so it will need 2-3 years to fill out before any artistic direction can be made.

The second tree is 28 inches tall, trunk thickness 3.2 inches. In training 2 years.
